Possibly the most inspiring and mobilizing four day summit of its kind, The PGC Finals will empower you and move you to action with purpose and passion. The summit will introduce you to an esteemed group of eco leaders and lifelong friends from all over the world.
Please meet our PGC Class of 2016 selected from a global pool of nearly 4,300 participants from across the United States and 37 countries. Finalists were selected based on points accrued, depth and breadth of engagement, number of challenge wins, quality of work, and a final exam and video recap of their 30-day journey.
The finalists were flown to San Francisco to attend the PGC Finals, a four-day extraordinary eco-summit, from November 17-20. There, finalists shared their PGC experiences, worked in collaboration with peers, mentors and eco leaders and developed a platform for social action that they will help ground on their campuses and in their communities.
On the last day of the PGC Finals, each finalist presented their PGC experience to an audience and a panel of esteemed judges. The judges selected the PGC 2016 Champion, Tamsin Stringer, Second Place, Maria Perez, and Third Place, Taylor Carrobis. The winner was gifted with a fabulous Grand Prize package valued at more than $12,000 and the opportunity to hold a leadership position with Turning Green Student Advisory Board in the coming year 2017.
PGC works to mobilize powerful student leaders while supporting them in their efforts to achieve tangible, impactful and sweeping change. Our goal is that they each young leader returns to their campuses informed, inspired and mobilized, and eager to lead the change they wish to see in the world.
